Daisy and Tom know about his passing and dont attend the funeral, neither to the hundreds of people who attended his parties. Only Nick is at the funeral of his great friend and Tom and Daisy move away, never to hear from anybody again.
REVIEW:
I think this book has to go on my top 5.Its romantic, suspensful and plot twisting. To be honest, I cried when i found out Tom was cheathing on Daisy the whole time.Nick has to be my favorite character because hes sort of just goes along with whatever is going on and he never interfferes when somebody is talking.Hes like a passing by standard in a crowded hallway at school, only bumping into you or your buissines occasionally.

Title: New Moon By: Stephanie meyer Summary: Edward's family throws a birthday party for bella, she slices her finger on an envelope and jasper attacks her because he cant control his blood urges. Edward decides to leave bella forever because he thinks its best for her so she can have a normal life in a depressed trance and spends a lot of time with jake at La Push. Where she learns that him and his whole family are wherewolves. Bella and the cullens go to Italy to rescue Edward where he is attempting to piss off the "volturi" which are a powerful family because he thinks Bella is dead and is trying to get the vulturi to kill him. They rescue Edward and Bella and edward are reunited.
Review: when edward left bella i was in tears. Althought i knew there were two more books to come and therefore they had to end up together, i literalg felt the agony that bella felt as he walked away at the edge of the forest. I felt the depression and the pain as the book went on without Edward and the rest of the Cullens. I desperately wanted tem back and as good of a friend that jacob was to bella, i hated hik for giving her feelings of settling for him and eternity. Anyways, the end of the book was my favorite and the moments where she heard his caring and proctective voice in her mind. It was so refreshing to have hik back. I love the new twist the story took adding werewolves to plot and the entire book kept me just as intrigued as the first twilight and " thirsting" for more ( no pun intended) this boom was so amazing.

Summary
This is a novel that talks about a girl her name is Hannah Baker she is the girl that Clay Jensen was in love but now she is dead but before she died she leave some tapes that explain why she commit suicide and now Clay needs to complete the tapes to know why she die and how he affected her.
Review:
The character that I most like is the boy that receive the tapes because he really wants to know what happened to Hannah but at the same time he don’t know how to confront the reality that she is showing to him, this book is so interesting because all the places where he go are nearby but it looks like he is a lot of places that are far one of each other. The main conflict in this novel is that Clay don’t want to listen the tapes because he is discovering other side of the persons in the tapes but he need to listen all of them because if he don’t listen all of them, the tapes are going to be showing to all the people, the plot elements that have this novel are the city in where they live and the school where is he, I think that the symbolism of this novel is that the people is so concentrate in all the problems that they have and they don’t really care if the others persons are fine or if in their form they are asking for help.

The boy in the Striped Pajamas
By: John Boyne
The boy in the Striped Pajamas is a book about a 9 year old German boy, Bruno, who lives in Aushwitz (a Jewish Concentration Camp) with his mother, sister, and father who is a SS Officer. Being alone with no one to play with, Bruno goes to the backyard to explore (being banned to go there) where he sees a boy on the other side of the fence about his age wearing striped pajamas. Bruno becomes friends with the boy whose name is Shmuel, and finds oout that Shmuel came with his family and got separated and lost his father. Bruno tells Shmuel he'll help him look for his father, and he gets a pair of pajamas and crosses the fence, goes with Shmuel to look for his father and not knowing they bothgot in a gas chamber.
Review:
I think this book is a great book because I started to read it and it started to get better and better. I really liked that Bruno had a nice friendship with Shmuel and that he wanted to help him look for his father. Although, the author of the book does make it seem like of it was paradise on the other side of the fence, like if the Jews had time and the freedom to make new friendships. But, I really liked the plot of the story, and at the end of the story I felt really sad that Bruno and Shmuel died and I liked the way the author wrote it, that it got to me. I felt really bad on the way Bruno and Shmuel doed.

Summary: This book takes place in the early 1990s in the mind of the high school freshman, Charlie. Charlie is a teen who's had a rough life, where he lost his favorite aunt, Helen, and his old best friend, Michael; the death of his aunt Helen led to Charlie seeing a psychiatrist as a child. Through this rough path though he find hope with the help of new friends, Sam and Patrick. With his new friends he starts to tread on the unfamiliar territory of drugs, girls, sexuality, the Rocky Horror Picture Show, and also love. However, with all these supposed great things, memories of his childhood begin to resurface that begin to eat at Charlie's mind with there horrific images. Will these life scarring memories break Charlie and lead him to make sense of these weird yet familiar flashbacks?
Review: This book is more than a high school teen writing down his experiences, but a story, a story of a boy named Charlie to whom we can all somehow relate to in a way. The Charlie tells us of his experiences in his life is so visual and descriptive yet subtle , and the way he formats the entries into letters makes this book even more interesting. The stories of his friends, family, and school life make this book relatable to all readers, so keeping this in mind I would recommend it to anyone with a mature and open mind. Also if you are deciding whether to view the movie before reading the book or vice versa, then I would recommend viewing the movie first only because the movie is terrible compared to book, but isn't it always. To end, I found this book not only compelling, but also colorful.

Heres why this shark needs your love By Lauren Tarshis
The article is about the Great White Shark and how over the years their population has gone down. Sharks are known for their violent attacks but what people dont know is how important they are to the oceans food chain, as an apex predetor, sharks are needed to keep balance to the oceans population but humans are hunting them for unnecesarry food source and will eventually cause their extinction.
I didnt know much about sharks only that they were viscious killers but didnt know that they were on the verge of extinction. After reading this article ive come to understand how important sharks are to our oceans balance. This article has shown me that even though sharks arent the friendliest animals out there, people are still willing to help out like the WildAid wildlife group. I think we should stop killing sharks for no good reasons and make sure they stay away from extinction

y asi.. el tiburon se enamoro del pecesito (And thats how the shark fell in love with the fishie) unknown author Summary: This story takes place in modern times in some part of Europe. The girl (unknown name) is a intelligent student, calm and nice with others in exception of one person... Justin, the schools typical troublemaker, the guy who gets all the girls and usually the hero. One day Justin realizes that the girl is not crazy for him so he makes a bet with his best friend, Justins goal to win the bet was to make the girl fall in love with him. After that day he makes it his one and only purpose but day after day he starts falling for her and she starts falling for him without knowing that she'll have to deal with Putting her life in danger, fights, drugs, blood and deaths. Review: I like this story because its not the typical bad boy and good girl story this doesn't only include romance its also dramatic, full of action, some sexual content and lots of violence. I love the fact that the author didn't named the main character that instead of putting her name she just typed a line so you could fill it in with your name or whatever name you want. After Justin made his one and only purpose to make the girl fall in love with him we see how bad he struggles with getting her attention and little by little we start realizing why he's in the drug business with his uncle and what happened with his parents. he starts dating the main character and puts her through a lot until theres a death in the story the main character turns into a violent, trouble girl. She leaves her house and starts getting involved with gangs. At the end of the first part of the story we see where the couple breaks up and Justin starts consuming drugs and almost dies a couple of times. In the second part of the story we see where Justin helps the main character go back to her old self and tries to change himself but right after he tells his uncle that he's leaving the drug business they start looking for the couple to exterminate them. You'll never be bored with this story im not much of a reader but with this story i wouldnt stop. The author makes you visualize almost everything, from the characters to the settings. The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones
Summery: This story is about a girl, Clary, who thought her life was completely normal until she started to see people that others couldn't. It takes place in New York City. Then she finds out her mom is a shadow hunter (the people that she can see) and her job is to kill demons and other supernatural evil creatures, and every time something came up about shadow hunters she made Clary forget about everything, so when someone kidnapped her mom Clary was totally in the dark until she met another shadow hunter. She falls in love with Jace (one of them) but at the end they find out about a "truth" from Valentine that makes impossible to continue with their love. Clary focuses in getting back her mom and in to have absolute knowledge of what she is.
Review: I was really into this book, once I started reading it, I couldn't stop. The setting was the perfect choice since New York is an enormous city full of secrets which leads you to have a lot of credibility in the story. I had do admit that I was a little (too much) upset about the ending but not because it's bad...If not that it is incredibly sad. They recently made a movie based on the book but it would never be as exciting as imagining it all in your head, the characters, the castle that mundanes (humans) can't see. It is not the typical romance story of two supernatural creatures that have it hard to be together, although it includes vampires and werewolves, but it has a lot of action that keeps your mind in an extraordinary trip that you wish you could be living in. The book has a lot of humorous moments so for sure you would not get bored of it, because they are teenagers and you can get what they're talking about; you also get to learn a thing or two and it is incredibly awesome the way the shadow hunters kill demons with weird weapons. One thing that I disliked was that it's narrated in third person and I kind of get lost when reading since one paragraph it's one moment and the other you realize it's talking about other people in a total different situation, but other than that it was a good and entertaining book. I have 4 other books to go, and I'm excited.

"A Walk To Remember" By: Nicholas Sparks

When their prank goes wrong, everyone runs away safely except for Landon. Landon ends up getting threatened with expulsion from the principal. His punishment is mandatory participation in various after-school activities such as tutoring disadvantaged children and performing in the drama club's spring musical. After getting to know each other more, Landon starts to have feelings for Jamie. But Jamie has a secret that Landon doesn't know about. What could it be? Will it break them apart? Review:This book is filled with romance. When you start reading this novel, you will get so excited that you will be on the edge of your seat. From the Beginning to the End you will notice how much a person can really change. There will be some crying in this novel and lots of different emotions. This novel was also written by the amazing writer, Nicholas Sparks. All of his novels are incredible and I highly recommend for you to read this novel and all the others as well. I don't want to spoil this novel for you so just put it on the top of the To-Do List so you can start reading it now! Alexandria Rocha 1-2A 2/18/14

Title: Shadow of the Mark ( Carrier of the Mark Series, Book #2)
Author: Leigh Fallon
Summary: Megan has now evoked her element, the element of Air, and is now a carrier of the mark. Her and the other 3 marked are now being prepared for the Alignment that will send their elements back to the Goddess Danu as was intended. However, there are people who don’t want this to happen and will do everything in their power to stop the Alignment. With Megan and Adam’s (Carrier of the Water elemnt) relationship growing and putting both Adam and his siblings, Rian and Aine, (Carriers of the Fire and Earth elements) in danger Megan starts to believe her power is now a curse. She must give up on Adam in order to keep him safe and stop the rise of the fifth element, Spirit, from getting into the hands of the wrong people. However, she must face many obstacles that block her path, like the secrecy that revolves around her unique situation, her growing attraction to Rian, and a new enemy that will stop at nothing to bring about the fifth element.
Review: This book was definitely one that automatically would reel you in from the beginning. Fallon does not disappoint with the sequel to Carrier of the Mark. The relationship between Megan and Adam was definitely a major point that reeled me in. Their relationship is complicated like in many other books, but it’s unique in the way that they both are attracted to each other due to their elements, and this adds to the drama of whether it’s just an attraction between their elements or real love. Then the author adds the attraction between Megan and Rian, who in the previous book had disliked her, which adds to the overall effect of the book. Another major selling point in the book was the hidden ability that Megan has that makes her different from the other marked. It is revealed to us that Megan has the ability to drain the other Marked of their elements which is a big factor which the book revolves around. It’s the main cause of the secrecy of The Order, a group in charge of the Marked and the Alignment, as well as the cause of the relationship problems that she and Adam face in order to be together. It’s a spellbinding book that can draw in all readers even if you don’t read.
Overall it’s a great book and series, and I can’t wait for the next book! It’s an easy read that is full of drama, magic, and secrecy!

“As he read, I fell in love the way you fall asleep: slowly, and then all at once.” The Fault in Our Stars is one of the best books I’ve ever read. This one of the books you will never want to put down. Seriously, hands down John Green you did it again. Hazel has cancer. She already anticipated Death would soon be knocking on her door. She doesn’t have a lot of friends because she keeps to herself. Why? She didn’t want anyone else to be burdened by her death in case it comes. One day at support group he met Augustus (Gus) Waters. They just sort of clicked. Gus liked her but she didn’t want to take their relationship to a higher level because she was afraid that she’d cause him pain if she dies. Hazel think Gus was healthier than she is and that he’ll have more time on earth than she does and that it would be unfair if she lets him in. But no matter how hard she tries to keep her distance from Gus, she just couldn’t. Everything felt right.

The Handsome Stranger by Juan Sauvageau
A girl named Dolores was a very beautiful girl. She was vain, proud and cruel. She loved to give the boys hope, but then dop them without even a warning. She had big green eyes. She played with the guys feelings, and just laughed it off, continuing to play with guys' feelings. The Black and White Ball was coming soon. Dolores really looked forward to it. The mom had a feeling something bad was going to happen to her daughter. She begged Dolores not to go, but Dolores didn't listen to her mother. A handsome stranger took Dolores to the ball. While dancing, he spinned her and spinned her. She pleaded with him to stop, but he spinned her faster and faster, laughing as he went. To learn what happened to her you HAVE to read this story!
I feel like if Dolores had just listened to her mother this wouldn't have happened. The mother's always right. That's what happened because she played with guys' feelings. She neede a wake up call because she didn't understand that what she was doing was wrong.

I liked Night the novel by Elie Wiesel , we read it in your class . It's a sad and suspenseful book . Elie was the main character , they where taken to concentration camps . Elie was worried everywhere and scared of dieing or losing one of his guardians . He was depressed at many times . Elie and many other people are moven to concentration camps and to attend ceremonies to execute people . Many many people die and are executed . It's all during the Halocaust but from Elies point of view . He loses all his family . They were always mistreated such as stuffing them into wagons over 100 people in one wagon . They had many ways to execute people , many also died by suffering . Some of the executing things they would use would be like the crematorioum where the people were burned alive to death and corpses were burned , another is a gas chamber people would get stuffed into them thinking they where showers or a shelter , but they would spread gas thru vents that killed them by suffering , lacking air . Gallows is another people would be hanged on ropes around their neck to choke to death . The SS were one of the leaders of the catastrophe . He had the people surrounded with police dogs , revolvers , and machine guns . They would get fed only soup and sometimes it wouldn't be good . They were in lack of food and freedom ! Elie would pray for help to god throughout the story but towards the and he begins losing faith in God for not saving those many people from dieing . Elie lost everyone.
